Hair Shedding

Why am I shedding more after starting Thrive or Flourish Growth Serums?

It’s normal to see a slight increase in hair fall during the first few weeks. This means the serum is starting to work at the follicle level.

How does hair growth work?

Hair grows in three phases:

  • Anagen – active growth
  • Catagen – short transition
  • Telogen – resting phase before shedding
  • Why does shedding happen at the start?

Many people with hair loss have too many follicles stuck in the telogen (resting) phase. Thrive and Flourish serums help re-energise these follicles, pushing them back into the anagen (growth) phase. Old resting hairs are released to make way for stronger new strands.

When should I expect shedding to start and stop?

Temporary shedding usually begins 2–6 weeks after starting and settles within a few weeks.

What are signs the serum is working?

  • Fine baby hairs along your hairline
  • Thicker density in thinning areas
  • Stronger, more resilient hair
  • Should I stop using the serum if I’m shedding?

No, keep using it consistently so the new growth cycle can fully establish.

What if shedding lasts longer than 8–12 weeks?

Book a consultation with our trichologist so we can assess your scalp health and adjust your routine.
